Frequently Asked Questions

We've compiled answers to some of the most commonly asked questions to help you feel prepared and confident about your visit. If you have additional questions not covered here, don’t hesitate to reach out to your artist or piercer directly. We’re here to help!

  • What are your health & safety standards?

Our crew prioritizes customer and artist safety by following strict hygiene protocols. All of our artists only use sterile single-use needles, sterilized equipment, industry recognized supplies (ie. proper tattoo inks), and all necessary sanitation procedures before & after all sessions. Both shops are approved by the health board and always comply with all local health regulations such as blood borne pathogen & first aid certifications. While masks are not mandatory, feel free to rock one if that's your jam!

  • Do you tattoo or pierce minors?

No. This means both locations will turn away all minors, even with parental permission. Our policy ensures a safe and responsible environment by serving only those over 18. Thanks for being awesome about it – we can't wait to welcome you back once you reach our age requirement.

  • Do you accept walk-in's?

Both of our locations are always accepting walk ins. Walk ins are performed on a first come, first served basis. You can always stop by or call one of our locations to find out who currently has availability.

  • How to schedule an appointment?

To book an appointment, you have to contact an artist directly or stop in one of our locations. All of our tattoo artists require a non-refundable $100 deposit in order to book. Our piercers may require a $20-$50 nonrefundable deposit based on the service. any appointment questions or emergencies, you need to speak directly with the artist that you have booked with. If you do not speak with them directly, all deposits are non-refundable so you will sacrifice your deposit if you no call no show.

  • What payment options do you accept?

We accept cash only payments at both locations, with ATMs available. No debit/credit cards or checks accepted. Apologies if ATMs run out of cash.

  • How much does this tattoo cost?

Tattoo prices vary widely based on several factors:

Size and Detail: Smaller, simpler tattoos will cost less than larger or highly detailed pieces.

Color and Complexity: Black-and-grey tattoos might be less costly than color tattoos, which often require more time and expertise.

Placement on the Body: Some areas are harder to tattoo and may take longer, which can affect pricing.

We provide consultations to help determine pricing based on your chosen design and color preferences.

  • How much does this piercing cost?

Our piercers have tried to simplify their prices so they’re easier to understand than other studios. There are also included discounts for multiple piercings on the same person. Your exact price will be determined by your choice of jewelry style & piercing location. Each price covers the piercing, jewelry, and tax with no additional fees—unless you want to purchase aftercare products! You'll find around six unique jewelry styles in each pricing tier.

  • How should I prepare before getting a tattoo or piercing?

Please bring a state-issued ID or an official passport and enough cash to cover your service (including tip and tax, if applicable). If relevant, have your reference material ready to show your artist. Make sure to eat about an hour before your appointment, and bring a water bottle and a small snack, like a protein bar or something with sugar. Wear comfortable clothes that can be permanently stained and provide easy access to the area being tattooed or pierced (e.g., a loose-fitting T-shirt for a navel piercing). Practice good hygiene by showering beforehand and exfoliating the area to be worked on.

    We recommend against:

    • Bringing more than one support person.
    • Coming in if you're feeling unwell.
    • Bringing children to your appointment.
    • Using or carrying illegal substances or alcohol.
    • Applying numbing cream before discussing it with your artist.
  • Can I bring my child with me?

No. We have “no minor” signs on both locations for a reason. We are not the most child friendly place. There are things kids shouldn’t hear, see, or touch in our shops. We understand if you can’t get a babysitter but we’d rather you reschedule than try to bring your child with you. We do not pierce or tattoo anyone under the age of 18 under any circumstances.

  • Do you allow numbing cream?

For piercing, no. All topical numbing agents are not effective for piercing purposes and are completely unnecessary. For tattooing, this is up to your artists discretion. Some numbing products are totally fine and others can alter the skins texture which affects the quality of the tattoo as well as the entire healing process. If you do plan on using any numbing agents, please notify your artist before applying them.
